Change font size of combo box Results

I've created a combo box in excel with the macro recorder. This is the code that came back:

	VB:

 test1()
    ActiveSheet.DropDowns.Add(1305, 52.5, 242.25, 39).Select
    With Selection
        .ListFillRange = "$AW$4:$AW$18"
        .LinkedCell = "$AX$5"
        .DropDownLines = 5
        .Display3DShading = False
    End With
End Sub

This always results in a default font size of 8 for my list. Can anyone tell me how to modify the code above to change the font size to 14? And how to modify the color of the list.Thanks!

Hi,

I have a spreadsheet that creates a number of combo boxes based on info in
other spreadsheets and then fills them. Even so often, the font of these
combo boxes is set to bold, but not all of them, and it appears almost
random and therefore tricky to track down. So the simplest solution would be
set the font.bold property of the control. However, I can't seem to
reference the combo box once it's been created.

I've used the OLEObjects.Add() contruct to add the combo boxes to the sheet,
and the .Name property to name the control. The combo boxes have their
LinkedCell property defined and that's how I reference the selected value
for each combo box. The problem seems to be that using this construct adds
it to the Shape collection and that doesn't seem to have a font property.

Any help in simply setting the font to bold of the combo boxes will be
appreciated.

Thanks
Martin

I am using Excel for Mac 2004 and I can not figure out how to change the size of the font in a combo box. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks.

When using the combo box from the FORM toolbar the text can be so small it is
unreadable. How can I change the font size of the text within this combo box?

Am trying to change font in a combo box in Excel 2003 but cant figure out how
to. The font appears to be a default size and style regardless of how large
I make the combo box. I have canged the size of font in the linked list but
this does not work. Any help welcomed.

I have a load of Combo Boxes created from the Forms toolbar. I need to change the appearance of the text in the box but I can't see how to do it. I've just done a search of the forums and it appears that it can be done if the combo boxes were created from the Control Toolbox. However there are a lot of combo boxes, so deleting them and re-creating them from the Control Toolbox is not an option. All I need to do is change the size and font of the text in the box. Does anyone know of a solution?

Many thanks.

Can anyone tell me how to change the size of the text in my combo box. I can hardly see it, and it doesn't seem to be in the properties tab.

Thanks for any help

I have created a chart which includes a combo box which refers to a list
of names. The problem is that the font size is too small - size 10 - and
I would like to make it bigger. Have tried changing the font size of the
data range for the combo box but this has no effect. The properties of
the combo box let me change its size but not the font size of the list
of items.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

I've added a combo box to a worksheet where I have some drop down lists so
that I can change the size of the font and the number of lines in the box.
I've added the code following instructions on the Debra Dalgleish site but
unfortunately I have no text in my combo box when I click on it - just the
same tiny writing in the drop down list that I've always had. What more do I
need to do?

When I add a combo box, and format it to add the input range and cell link
etc, I can't seem to change the size of the font that appears in the drop
down selection of the combo box. It often appears very small.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, I've been looking through the contexture website about data validation and combo boxes and I need help modifying the code examples that were given on the website. The following are criteria and things I would like to get solved.

1. I want the combobox to appear on my data validation drop down lists when clicked only once.
2. Some of the data validation drop down lists I want to add combo boxes to are dependent while others are not.
3. I have current code on the worksheet that allows '3-way cell linkage' of certain cells that I want to keep functional after adding the combo boxes.
4. The combobox words get cut off when I change the font size to 26 or greater (dependent on the length of the word in the validation list) when I was messing with the contexture example files. How do I change the size of the combo box to accommodate the larger font sizes and longer words?

My example worksheet is attached, and please let me know if you need more clarification.

I am having a problem with the new version of Excel 2010. These documents will show up correctly, then when viewed in the print preview window be wrong. I have re-opened these files in older versions ( Excel 2007 and Excel 2003) and they display correctly and print correctly. In the new version of excel the text in the "Combo Boxes" are changing font size upon printing. This even holds true for the print preview window. I have also tried this on another computer which has Excel 2010 and I have the same problem. Here are some links to view the problem I've been having. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

This is a picture of the printing error.

Please help me on this, I started a piece of work using the Combo-box from the forms toolbar, after completing everything I found out that it could not be formated (font size and the background colour). CAN THIS BE DONE?

I did post this problem on anothor forum but I didn't get any answers yet

Therefore I am trying to use the combo-box from the "Control Toolbox" but I am having problems.

1) I cannot get the combo box to give numbers to the linked cell, instead it gives me the list of items that is select.

2) I am using a lot of dynamic ranges combined with my 2 combo-box's. The list on the 2nd combo box changes, but the hieght of the list does not change to match my dynamic range.

Here is my examble:

Please help me on this

Hi

If I was to insert a form control combo box (not active x) into my worksheet not via an userform. Could I have it to have the actual value displayed in the linked cell instead of the numeric value that represents it.

Also, can the height size be made smaller than 0.6cm? Is it also possible to change the font and fontsize. If, so can somebody say how or point me to any relevent links? I believe this would need to be done as VBA code.

Thanks

No luck finding an answer? You could always try Google.
