Convert G into KG

Hello,

I have the following table:

A B

20 KG
10 G
30 G
15 KG

I would like to select only cells written in G (10 and 30) and multiply them by 1000 to get KG.

How would you do that please? In a general way, how do you multiply/divide ony cells that you have selected at the same time?

Many thanks,

Antonin.

Yes, there should be a function to convert a number stored in any cell to
convert it into words. e.g. 3,451 ... Three thousand four hundred and
fifty-one

Some one on this site hv solved my problem of converting seconds into Hours.
Now I hv another problem. I need those seconds to be converted into Minutes.

Here is the example of converting secs. to hrs:

	VB:

 test()

    Dim myanswer As Variant

    myanswer = Str((Range("H11").Value))
    MsgBox (Int(myanswer) * 24) + Round(((myanswer - Int(myanswer)) * 24), 2)

Hi Exel Guru:

Can any Guru out there help me to convert number into date. For example in column A I have many numbers like 200006, 200410, 200208, 200001, and so on. How can I make Excel reads the number 200006 as the date 2000/06 or 200410 as the date 2004/10 without using VBA?

VBA only uses one core. Now the CPUs are mostly multicore.

I read something about converting VBA into Visual Studio to do multi-threading
http://betterandfasterdecisions.com/...rmance-review/

Any one has tried it to take advantage of multicore CPUs?

Is it hard? Can we still call excel functions like application.vlookup in the program?

Hi,

I'm having an issue converting months into weeks. My example is I have people who must provide leaving notice (could be months or weeks). For instance column B details months, and column C details weeks. I'd like to convert months (column B) into weeks in column D, but am not sure of the components of such a formula so I won't list or guess as I'm just not sure.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

How to I convert minutes into the equivalent fractional hours?

How can I convert grams into pounds and ounces. For example, the user will enter grams into one textbox1 and then a macro takes the entry and converts it into pounds and ounces in texbox2.

780 grams
=
1lb 10oz

Hi I am trying to convert days into weeks and everythings fine until you have
only 5 days showing, but this shows up as 0.7. The formula I am using is
D3/7 and i have also tried (D3-1)/7 and this shows 0.6.

Every time I enter a fraction into a cell, Excel automatically converts it
into a date. This is a pain when I am trying to paste a table with fractions,
because I have to go back and manually enter them all.

Hi

I have a text string from which I would like to extract a particular value,
that is the number at the end, and then convert it into an integer value. The
String is;

Total item(s) found: 1

From which I want to be able to take the number at the end and convert it
into an integer.

Can anyone please assist in formulating a solution for doing that.

Thanks

Sumeet

I have a large dataset in HTML format, and I would like to convert it into
Excel so I could modify and delete unnecessary data. I tried to open the
HTML file in Excel, but it was too big so only part of it was imported into
Excel.

Does anyone know how to either: a) import the entire HTML file; or b)
selectively import the HTML into Excel since the file is too big?

Thank you very much.

how to convert nos into word format say 500 to Five Hundred

We have huge data containing no's, would like convert the same into word
format

Example to convert
1 One
2 two
3 three
4 four

The basic description of the problem is that I have data scattered in a bunch
of date-named files, and I am trying to assemble them back into the same
table using VLOOKUP function, where I have to change the workbook source
names - and I am getting an error, indicating that my reference is a text
string (which it is), not the proper reference.

Example:

What it should be:
A1= '11-20 (date)
B1= 'C:Folder11-20 sales.xls'!data$A$1:$D$35 (reference text as a result
of a formula)

C1=vlookup(A1,indirect(B1),false,2) - ref error

When I tried to concantinate the reference in the vlookup formula itself I
got value error from inability to convert text into reference link, like this:
vlookup(A1,"'C:Folder11-20 sales.xls'!data$A$1:$D$35",false,2)

Appreciate your help,

PS I am not good with VB.

Hi All,

I have gotten this formula thru the help of someone. It converts dates into
their respective fiscal quarters. The formula is:

="Q"&INDEX({4;1;2;3},INT((MONTH(A2)+2)/3))

However, this formula uses a fiscal year which starts on April 1st. I need
the formula to start on 1st Nov as its start of a fiscal year. Can anyone
advice on this, thanks.

I want to convert number written in excel cells into words, for example if i
wrote 100 in a cell it should show me "one hunderd" in a corresponding cell.

I tried and find out a function "bahttex" which convert number into words;
but this function shows the answer in the THAI language, again need is there
to convert the THAI language to english langauge.

Can anybody help me out in this regard?

Thanks
