Chromaticity graphs in Excel?

Has anybody got any recommendations for creating chromaticity graphs in Excel? I'm looking for a simple, configurable way to create them in Excel, using either the built-in tools or a plug-in. I don't mind buying one as long as it is resonably priced. Here's the sort of thing I'm looking to create: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:CIExy1931_sRGB.svg

This would be for a mixed Excel 2004/2008 environment, all running under MacOS X 10.4/10.5.

I have been asked whether I can design a bar graph where the bars change colour depending on the value. (Whilst I am fairly confident in my ability with Excel, I am only new at using VB, so my apologies in advance.)

Basically, I need the following:

if the x value falls within range a (approximately the first 30% of the y axis) then the bar should be red
if the x value falls within range b (approximately the middle 40% of the y axis)then the bar should be green
if the x value falls within range c (approximately the top 30% of the y axis)then the bar should be purple

I haven't done a lot of experimenting with graphs in excel, but as far as i know there is no easy way to do this, so i wondered if anyone here would know if/how i can do this using VB.

What are the Default {RGB} colors for graphs in Excel 2011?

I don't want an approximation. I want to match what is has used in some of the automatically generated graphs elsewhere.

Greetings to All, For Office 2003: I'm making graphs in excel and copying
them onto slides in PP. 4 graphs per slide. I used to just cut & paste but
I found cut & special paste & inserting as a picture works out better for my
purpose. However, I can make graphs in Excel & check all fonts (legend, X/Y
axis) to ensure all fonts should match, for instance, all of the labels for
the axis are 10 Pt Normal, aerial; but when I paste the graphs to PP (on the
same slide) the font sizes rarely look the same. Something always looks
bolder or bigger, or more compact. The graphs on the Slide are appx the
same size so i dont think its a "this one's bigger than that one at the
destination" issue. I'm not sure if this is a PP ? or an Excel ? but I've
given up and am looking for help. I've gone to painful extremes in excel to
make sure all the data in the spreadsheet is the same size, the column & row
headings are the same font & still, the charts I move to PP do whatever they
want. I can even make 2 charts on the same spreadsheet and when I move them
to PP, the look different. I have noticed at times when copying the chart
from the worksheet, that when I click copy, the chart re-sizes it self. I'm
at a loss. Any assistance is appreciated

How can I make a confidence interval graph in Excel?

I am generating a graph in excel from a csv file. The csv file contains three columns like in --

features featurecount support
Policy 34 yes
Interface 54 no
UTM 23 yes
Bridge 56 no

Basically I am generating a column diagram with featues in X axis and featurecount in Y axis. The support column (last column) can only have values yes and no. I want the columns to be written as yes or no for the corresponding features. How is it possible to do this ?

I am attaching the generated graph from the csv file. Kindly advise on how to print the support value in the columns.

Is it possible for me to have a graph in excel with a straight line going from zero to a fixed number as a standard line.

and then put in information from a pivot table to populate the graph with another line so i can compare that line with the standard line??

it seems that i can only have one line in my graph if i load it from the data in a pivot table??

Excel, in general, plots the graph from top to the bottom, like from Policy, Interface,UTM,Bridge. However, I want to order the columns th the graph in decreasing order of the featurecount value, so the columns should be like Bridge,Interface,Policy,UTM

Hi! I really need help making column graphs in excel 2004 for a lab report. We measured salinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, and growth over 15 days at three different salinity's. So, I need 4 figures that have 3 graphs each (with all of the y-axes the same values for each figure for comparison). I have the spreadsheet with all of the values done, I just don't know how to graph it. Can anyone help, please?

I am trying to build a graph in Excel dat displays the movements in interest rates. De table contains the following details:

Bank Product Interest rate Effective date
A 1 7% June 12, 2011
A 3 8% February 21, 2012
B 2 4% April 8, 2011
B 3 9% January 14, 2012

I would like this graph to display the interest rates per product (a line) and upon effective date that the line jumps to the new interest rate level). This graphs must have the possabilitites to be filtered per bank as well as per product.

My Excel knowledge isn't sufficient to pull somethign like this off. Is there someone who can help me with this?

P.s. Excel 2007.

Is it possible to create a graph in Excel and have it automatically update a powerpoint?

and ultimately I would like to create a user form in PowerPoint that will allow the account to manually override the the graph data. This is for the future but if anyone has ideas of the best way to do this that would be appreciated.

The Form Example:

Segment (Desktop/Notebook/Server)

Company (Drop down to select company only 5)

When Company is selected activate the slide based on company and segment

This section I believe may be the more difficult part:

then activate a list of boxes that can be updated representing all areas that are running out of Excel (probably not that difficult as I can just call individual cells) needing to update the graph and then upon submission graph is updated

I added the second part of this post in case someone has done something similar!

I have a graph with a line. The line itself is a downward curve sloping line.

If I recreate the values from this chart, I am wondering is possible in Excel to derive the formula from this line?

I am trying to plot a graph by given points, may anyone tell me how to construct the best fit line in excel? Also, the points on my x-axis are all like 3.1, 3.4, 3.9 etc, and when I tried to plot the graph, the x-axis started from 3.3, not 0, also, I cannot make the scale go evenly, like one space for 0.1 etc. May anyone please help on this? Need help with graphing in Excel 2007.
I have the following data:
Product Price Elastic Coefficient
$5 3.000
4 1.400
3 0.714
2 0.333
1 1.000

I need the horizontal line (product price) on a line graph to run from $1 to $5 and keep the corresponding data (elastic coefficient) in its appropriate row – since the elastic coefficient is a computed vale, I cannot simple sort on the price column as that will destroy the correct coefficient.
How can I, without typing a special column for price, get the horizontal line to run from $1 to $5.

Hey I am new member. I have problem in labelling data points in a scatterred graph in excel. I have three columns-A,B and C. I want to do a scatter plot between Column A and B. But the label to be dispalyed for those points in the graph I would like to be the value of Column C. I have large dataset, so it is really hard for me to label it manually for each data point. So I would like to know an automated procedure where I can label all the dat points at once. Currenlty the excel allows to label for either values of X axis or Y axis. So I would highly obliged if any one can help me out.
