VBA: move to the next cell down from anywhere in the sheet

I am deleting rows based on a value in a column (< 16) and if the value is 16 or greater I want to move down to the next row and check that value and so on. i am using a Do Until value = "".

What is the code for moving down to the next cell below ActiveCell?

When using Excel to produce forms, I want to automate how the cells are
selected when inputing data. Usually, I unlock the cells that will have data
entered in them and lock the remaing cells. Next, I protect the sheet.
Then, I use the tab key to move to the next cell that requires data instead
of having to click on the next cell. I'd like to take it a step further.

Does anyone know if I can direct Excel to automatically move to the next
cell when I enter data in the current cell? These particular cells only have
one digit entered in each cell. So, without having to use the tab key, once
a digit is entered in a cell, I'd like the next cell to be automatically
selected so I can input another digit.

This is my first post on here so sorry if this is posted in the wrong section but I figure you can never go wrong in general right? The question I have is I have an excel sheet that I want to use to enter survey results. We are using 1 - 5 for a scale as unsatisifed to extremely satisifed, some questions use 1 for yes 2 for no and 5 for no reply, and some use 1 for yes (there are four answers and the user can only select one). The question I have is there will only ever be one character entered into a cell is there anyway to tell that there has been a character entered and automatically move to the next cell (downward)?

I have Excel setup so that when I press "Enter" I move to the next column.

However, I would like to set up my spreadsheet so that when I hit "enter" in the last column of data, it moves to the next row down.

i.e.

I have data I need to enter in Row 1, columns A-L.

I enter data in A1 and hit "enter" and I move to cell B1 and so forth, always moving right. When I get to cell L1 however and input my data and hit "enter" I would like to be moved to cell A2.

Is this possible?

After scanning a barcode in excel, how can I automatically move to the next
cell without pressing the tab or enter key? Will be scanning multiple items
from a distance of serveral feet from the keyboard.

I have created a macro that involves a loop and i have a problem. Each time the page is re-calculated i get a new value in the "answer" cell for the page. I want this answer to be pasted to another cell. Each time the loop runs (and the answer changes) i want it to be pasted to the next cell down as to formulate a list of the answers calculated by the page. The only thing i can not figure out is how to paste to the next cell. Right now the macro keeps pasting the "answer" in the same cell (not the next one). How do i fix this? Any thoughts?

1) I am trying to reference the next cell down in a column on a different sheet.
2) This occurs multiple times on the new sheet, the cells on the new sheet are not next to each other, so I cannot simply grab the corner of a cell and drag.

I can use the offset function to do this, but the caveat is that I need to be able to change the location of the first referenced cell (on the same sheet) and have all of the other references follow.

Sheet 1 has the data I need all in the same coulumn, one after the other.
I need to pull the data to sheet 2 each piece being placed 9 rows below the last. ( I can do that)
The problem is that the location of the data on sheet 1 will change each month, still in a coulumn but in a different location.
I would like to be able to just change the location of the first cell reference on sheet 2 and have all of the others follow.

I get data from 1 sheet and add that data to column a1.. I then open another spreadsheet and get data and want to add it to the next row down in a1. The problem I have is that its writing over the current data in a1. Please help me move to the next cell. Thanks, Brian

I need a way to compare to cells in a row and then move to the next row.

For example, in the table below I have two rows where ColumnA contains the string "approved" and ColumnB is empty. The count for this should be "2".

There are 3 rows where ColumnA contains the string "in progress" and ColumnB contains the string "completed". The count for this should be "3".

ColumnA ______ColumnB
1 approved
2 in progress__completed
3 approved
4 in progress__completed
5 in progress__completed

My sheet has 50 rows.

Can you press enter while in a cell so you can go to the next line within the
cell. Regularly when pressing enter it moves you to the next cell.

Rather than using enter, if I have a lot of data it is easier to use the
arrow key to move the next cell. But I can't get it to work. The page just
scrolls in whatever direction arrow key is press. I have tried turning
Scroll Lock On and Off but it makes not difference.

My problem is I cannot push the tab button on the keyboard and only go to the
next cell. It actually moves from colum A, Row 1 to Column N, Row 1. I have
searched through everything to fix it and I could not find where to change
the setting.
If someone could please help me, I would really apprecate it.

I'm fairly new to using macros in Excel (aside from the simple record button).

I'm currently doing a demand forecast. I need to forecast 52 weeks for different items (these items are provided in a separate sheet with column names: item # and age).

I have a demand regression formula where it's basically:

Constant + Coeff(age) + Coeff(age)^2 + Coeff(age)^3

I can manually do this for each item by plugging in the necessary values each time, but obviously this is tedious. While I can make a macro that will do that operation for a single cell, I'm lost on how to move that macro to the next cell and repeat (so it will perform the demand forecast operation on all 52 weeks and all items in a column).

If anyone can point me to the right reference material, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Per attached, I would like the column that says "This column less than 15, highlight entire line from cell A to L.". If the cell is less than 15, it will highlight the entire line A to L and then move to the next line and highlight it IF its below 15. I want this to repeat to line 650 rather than me manually typing it up.

The code below does this but I have to manually type in the next line everytime as well as the code being to big.

I want to use a macro to select the next cell down under a set of data.

however if I record it as a macro with the combination
ctrl + Down, Down

the macro is recored as

obviously the A24 bit forces it to select that cell no matter where it was before.

Whats the correct code to replace this with?

I used to hit the arrow right key for example and it would tab to the next
cell...now when I touch the arrow key, the cursor stays in the same cell and
the entire sheet view moves.

Using Excel, I want to test data in a column to see if each individual entry
in the column meets a criterion (say, equals 3). If it does, I then want to
perform certain tasks, using that and otehr relevant data, and enter the
results in other cells elsewhere on the sheet or workbook, then go back and
test the enst item in the original column of data. If any data item does not
meet theinitial criterion, I want to move to the next item in the column,
test it and, if it passes, perform the results and store the reults in the
next available position of my results section.

Any suggestions as to how to go about this in Excel (version Office Xp)?

I have a requirement to have some functionaility within my spreadsheet depending on the answer in the adjacent cell.

UseNew (if answer equals 'yes' go to the cell adjacent to CapitalExpenditure) if answer is no go to the adjacent cell of UseOld. If that answer is no go to the next adjacent cell next to NextQuestion

I need to build a macro that lets me find the last cell in a row with data in it then move to the next blank cell & past data. The final report is supposed to build on itself finding the last cell without data in it then pasting the current data. Then the same macro can be run again finding the next available cell pasting the next current data & so on & so on. The problem I am having is moving to the next available blank cell without making reference to that cell in the macro. Which means of course that all new data will be pasted to the same location.

Here is a macro I found on another help site. It looks like it may have some aspects that can help me although I don't really understand it or know how to modify it to suit my application.

I am trying to move data from column A1 B1 C1 (sheet 1) to Colum A1 B1 C1 (sheet 2) using a check box on click. (Simple Enough)
But if there is data in Sheet 2 A1 B1 C1 then move to the next cell down (A2 B2 C2 sheet 2) and if there is data on A2 B2 C2 sheet2 then move to the next cell down and so on until I reach A20 sheet 2 then have a VB message.

Can any one help?

I am using Excel 97 and want to be able to check to see if
a cell value on one sheet is already listed in a range on
another sheet.

If the cell value is listed then move to the next cell
down, if not listed then copy the value of that cell into
the next cell available in the range on the sheet.

Can anyone assist with some code please?
