I was attempting to create a pie chart and clicked the pie chart icon.
However, did not want it embedded in the same Work sheet, so I clicked on the
new work sheet tab. It did not work and somehow I must have triggered
something else and all icons on both my insert tab and data tab is greyed out.

The title basically says it all...

"Tools > Options > Window Options > Page Breaks" is Greyed Out

How can I turn this back on? It's really frustrating. It's not letting me edit my page breaks.

I have a table where the sheet is protected, however on the protection i have allowed "Autofilter"

However once i have done some auto filtering the
Data>Filter>Show All is greyed out! what a pain!

anyway round this????

I have an Excel spreadsheet that already has a lot of conditional formating.
However, when I now try to add conditional formating to another cell the
conditional formating option is greyed out. Nothing is locked or protected
on this spreadsheet, and I don't understand what caused this change. Any
suggestions?

Excel 2003 - the "X" to exit the application option is greyed out...you must
use "file / exit" to exit the program. How does this get turned off and how

I'm using office 2000. I believe that I may have some sort of virus. I am
able to close individual files from within excel, however, I am unable to
close excel using the RED "X" button. It is greyed out.

Please help.

A co-worker recorded a print macro in one of my workbooks. It is of no value
(the workbook is only 3 pages and there is no need for a macro). Besides,
the macro won't run because of the security setting on the workstation. I am
trying to delete the macro because the dialogue box that explains why it
can't run is annoying. I follow the Help directions and go to
Tools/macro/macros/this workbook and highlight the macro but the only
available buttons are "Run", "Cancel" and "Step into". The "Delete" button
is greyed out. How do I delete this thing?

TIA,
MG

I'm using Excel 2003 in high security mode. I've generated a certificate
using selfcert.exe, signed a spreadsheet with a macro, saved and then reopend
it. When I open the file, I get the Security Warning dialog box and the only
thing I can do is disable the macro because "Always trust macros from this
publisher" is greyed out.

This is all being done on the same computer as the same user. When I choose
Tools | Macro | Security, "Trust access to Visual Basic Project" is checked,
but greyed out too. If I and manually export the certificate and then import
it into "Trusted Publishers", the macro will run, but I'm trying to come up
with a simpler process for some of my less sophisticated users.

Hi, for some reason one of my work books is suddenly refusing to let me
use autofilter on all of my worksheets within the book - the option is
greyed out. It is also refusing to allow me to use the trace
precedents and trace dependents functions, it is almost as if the
option has been "turned off" by accident, but I dont know how to turn
it back on.

I would really appreciate any suggestions, I have tried looking at the
trouble shooting guide in microsoft but it doesnt really help....
HELP!!!!!

Many thanks in advance

Laura
