How to setup a hyperlink to an indirect function?

I have a formula;

=HYPERLINK(INDIRECT($A225&"!"&"$B$4"),INDIRECT($A225&"!"&"$B$4"))

that is not working. It comes up with an error message "Cannot open
specified file".

Originally, the cell contained the following formula, but i'm trying to put
a hyperlink over the top of it.

=INDIRECT($A224&"!"&"$B$4")

This indirect statement basically returns the data in workbook / cell
'5'!B4. I want to be able to hyperlink to that.

I have a large excel sheet where one column contains hyperlinks. They are all of the form:
Map_This
and I'd like to substitute the underlying URL so that I can save this to a text file and put it in a database.

Anyone have an idea? What I don't want to do is to do them all manually by right-clicking, editing the link and
cutting and pasting the URL in the "display as". I tried making a macro, but I can't figure out how to make a macro
that works in all columns as opposed to just a single cell.

TIA.

Anyway, I'm trying to graphically represent a line of profitability by combining the results from two ratios.

RATIO's.

Win/Loss Ratio (average win size / Average loss Size)

I've got the data in a table but would like to setup a graph that can clearly illustrate where the best combinations are. I've attached a copy of the worksheet for review...

Hoping for help to create a hyperlink that opens up an .RDP file. I was able to invoke the mstsc.exe using the standard hyperlink dialogue but what i really want is to invoke the mstsc.exe /admin to open a certain RDP file.

I tried inserting the API code from DominicB into a VB object via the developer pane but its not working and i lack experience in this area.

here's what i put in the object for my worksheet:

Private Declare Function
ShellExecute Lib "shell32.dll" _
Alias "ShellExecuteA" (ByVal hWnd As Long, ByVal lpOperation As String, _
ByVal lpFile As String, ByVal lpParameters As String, ByVal lpDirectory As String, _
ByVal nShowCmd As Long) As Long

Sub test()
ShellExecute 0, vbNullString, "SanAnt47.rdp", vbNullString, "C:Documents and SettingsmyuserDesktopRDPs",
1
End Sub

Private Sub Worksheet_Activate()

End Sub

Private Sub Worksheet_FollowHyperlink(ByVal Target As Hyperlink)

End Sub

Private Sub Worksheet_SelectionChange(ByVal Target As Range)

End Sub
Am I going about this all wrong?

Where do i put the API in and how must i edit it?

Also I need to use the console switch /admin with the mstsc.exe to make this work.

Any help is appreciated!

I use Macros and hyperlinks regularly and the screentips for hyperlinks are
great. Assigning Macros to objects works great but there is no obvious screen
tip option. How to create a screen tip for an object?

I have a excel sheet that I must email and I want to setup a hyperlink within
the sheet so that I can click on it and it will automatically bring up my

Hi!

I'm trying to figure a way to setup a web query (Using the WEB QUERY function), such that the web-address that the web query refers to can be an external field. If I can do this, I can enter the address at a pre-determined cell, and click refresh on the web query, and Excel will retrieve the information from the web-address specified in the cell.

I have tried to reference (i.e. =Sheet1!$A$!) in the address field of the web query but it does not work. I was wondering if you guys have any ideas on how to do this.

Thanks!

Dear Guru,

Could anybody tell me how to setup user-defined paper size in Excel VBA.

I known the "PageSetup.PaperSize=xlPaperUser" codes should be used when I want to print sheet to user-defined paper.

But what's the following, how to setup the paper sizes use "L*W*H" 3d properties in VBA? Is there any method to call OLE object to setup user-defined paper sizes in printer device?

That's a great trouble to me to customize an Excel Report Printing Function? Grateful if anyone could help me.

Thanks

Basically I want setup a range that an user can insert/paste picture into this range. Some pictures might be to large and I don't want them to take over the whole screen. I need some kind of window that I define it's range, and user insert/paste picture into this window. Oversize picture will be resized to fit within this window.

Thanks!

I can use this formula, =INDIRECT(ADDRESS(10,2)), but I haven't figured out
how to specify a range as in =INDIRECT(ADDRESS(10,2) & ":" & ADDRESS(30,6)).
I can put the range address into a cell and then reference the cell with
INDIRECT, but it would be nice to imbed the range address calculation inside
the INDIRECT function and save the step.

Hello guys,

I'm currently using this formula: =AVERAGE(OFFSET(H21,0,0,24,1)) to identify a cell in column H and take the average of that cell and the next 23 cells, in order for me to take a baseline average from my data.

I would like to adapt this so that the formula can identify a value in a cell in another column (Z) and then use the above formula on the cell in column H. For example, if Z21 had the number 100 in it, then the formula would take the average of cell H100 and the following 23 cells. Is this possible using an INDIRECT function ?

Any help is greatly appreciated guys, I am currently in the process of inputting the formula individually and I'm quite worried about human error!

Thanks,
Tom
