100 % bar graph (stacked side by side)

Hello

1)one is a clustered side by side graph showing the $ dolar value

2)100% clustered side by side...where my target is my projected revenue aka 72800$

.....i believe its been done correctly, if one of your gurus can kindly have a look and let me know.

more importantly,
if someone can help me with the graph first (grey color), as i cant get the legend to show the person's name aka cell C9

also, for my second graoh (blue and red color....100% clustered), how can i get the value to show up? i would like the dollar value to show instead of the percentage?

can someone pls help me with this, been struggling for the past day +. thx you, much appreciated!!!

I have two series of data from different years, and I'd like to make pie
charts out of each of them and show them side by side. Can i do this? I have
Excel 200.

Ok, well, I have an assignment due within 2 hours (email) for my
statistics class. Prof wants us to summarize some data about an
incoming (college) class and present it in graphical form.

He wanted me to do, among other things, a graph which shows the average
distribution of SAT scores (Math & Verbal) side by side (Same Y axis, X
Axis repeating). He showed me how to do it, but I lost my notes. The
data is grouped into bins of 100.

Can anyone help?

Graphing in Excel - I have six years worth of data. The 'Fiscal year' is
along the x-axis, and 'Dollars' is on the y-axis. There are two sets of data
(with three dollar amounts)for each year. The first is for the corporation
overall, and the second is for one business unit within the corporation. I
want to display two stacked columns side-by-side within each fiscal year. How
do I do this?

Excel keeps trying to stack the six into one column per fiscal year. Here
is a depiction of what I am trying to do:

A X A X A X A X
B Y B Y B Y B Y
C Z C Y C Y C Y
Year 1 Year 2 Year 3 Year 4

ABC is the stacked data for the corporation. And XYZ is the stacked data
for one of the business units within the corporation.

I have a completed graph that shows side by side columns and a line, but I
would like to add a stacked column to the graph without losing the other side
by side columns.

I need to graph the following data using stacked graphs that are placed side-by-side by month to compare the given data. I cannot figure out how to do this. Any charting experts?

Softstarter 5 2 1

August

Is it possible to do a chart that has side by side stacked bars for different
periods? For example, I want to compare quarterly profits for the years 2004
and 2005. I am using MS Excel 2003.

How do I create two side-by-side stacked bar graphs?

I have a question in forming this data. I want to create a stacked bar graph with the X axis showing the ABC code (2 bars) for the US and Canada. Each bar needs to be broken into a percentage based on the percentage of status pertaining to the country. Bottom Axis would be the CODE, left most axis would be the dollar amount. Each bar would be broken into the three status (A,D,I) based on their corresponding country percentage. 2 Bars per Code (1 for each country). Is this possible? I am completely stumped.

I'm trying to create a timeline of supreme court justices. The basic graphing
works, but I decided I wanted them color coded by party so there will have to
be multiple series on one Stacked Bar Graph. However whenever I attempt this
the series do not stack properly.

For Example I want Series 2 (Durations of Terms for Party A) stacked on
Series 1 (Years of Inaugurations for Party A.) Then I want Series 4 (Duration
of term for Party B) stacked on of Series 3 (Years of Inaugurations for Party
B.) But when I attempt to graph it either stacks series 1, 2, and 3 together
or botches it some other way. Can anyone help me sort out the stacking?

Hi,

I have created a Bar graph in excel with percentage values on the left y-axis.

I want to add the the number values to other y-axis side so that it can be well understood by the reader.

Any one knows how to put the y-axis values on both sides of the graph?

Much appreciation

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know if there is a way to get a stacked chart side by side? For
example, you have airplanes, cars and trains on the x axis and values of
2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. I know you can have all these values in one bar
but is it possible to have two stacked bars for one x-value? For example,
for airplanes, you have one bar with 2005 and 2006 and a bar next to it with
the 2007 and 2008 values.

Thanks, appreciate your help.

I'm trying to graph some data across time which compares two different sets of data. However, each of those sets of data is made up of several different subsets of data.

So essentially I want two stacked charts to show up side by side for each month, but I can't figure out how to do this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi
I have 3 series of sales data I need to plot - actual, max budget & min
budget - for 12 months.
With the months being the x axis, I need the graph to be a standard bar
chart, with the colums side by side for each month (clustered column).
However, for the 2 bdget columns I need them to be of the "stacked" column
type - so that when the graph is presented we can see exactly how the actual
column each month compares to both budget figures.
I've tried changing the chart type for each of the series, but it seems to
change all 3 series each time. I could easily combine a line graph with the
stacked columns, but for some reason I can't combine stacked columns and
clustered columns.
I hope I've explained this well!!
Thanks in advance
Dave

I have 3 data points:

1. Number of items inspected
2. Percentage of items that passed inspection
3. Percentage of items that failed inspection

My boss would like to see a bar graph that shows the percentage of items inspected as the bar (use 75% as an example), but within that bar he would like for me to be able to display the pass/fail percentages.

When I use a stacked bar it shows all 3 values on top of each other and it goes up above 100%. But I need it to show the bar at 75%, and then that bar to be colored say 80% green (for passed inspection), and 20% red for failed.

I have to do this for various vendors, so that is why they would like everything displayed in one bar.

FYI, I have created a graph that shows the percentage passed vs. percentage failed as the bar then did a line graph as a secondary value over it to show the percentage that were inspected........but they want the percentage inspected as the main thing you see. (I attached a sample below of what I created).

Thanks for your help!

i'm trying to draw two normal distribution bell graphs side by side in a same
drawing.

i was able to draw two different bell graphs following the help provided
earlier, but still cannot draw them together with some overlapping tails.

perhaps, the difficulty i have is "selecting" the columns (range?) . i
"selected" all four columns (two columns for taller graph, and the other two
columns for shorter graph), but it draws a linear graph.

any help is appreciated.

want to construct a stacked bar graph with each bar representing a specific
variable and the components of it.

Hello,

I am trying to make the Data Labels fit withing the stacked bar graph,
but cannot seem to have any success. I want each label to distribute
itself evenly within the boundries of bar it is labeling. I know that I
can use text box over each bar, but that is a lengthy process and is hit
or miss for me.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!!!

I want to create a bar graph with two series including standard Y error
bars as well as having a secondary Y axis. The bar graph looks fine
untill I try and put on a secondary Y axis- then it overlays the bars
on top of each other ( one bar becomes masked by the other). It wont
keep them side by side.
Appreciate any suggestions
cheers

How can I get the monthly columns (ie: July Actual & July Budget) in a
stacked chart to sit side by side with a space before the next month (August
Actual & August Budget) and so on for each month.

Please help. We are trying to create a stacked bar graph with an average line. Each time we try to add in the average data to the graph it adds it to the stacked bar. The stacked bar should represent the inpatient & outpatient cases at a hospital for the current year (months showing across the as columns). The line should represent the previous 2-yr average total. Anyone have an idea how to add a line to the stacked bar graph? It has us stumped. Thanks!

Hi all. I have some data that I need to plot (Excel v.X running on Mac OS
Panther). I've currently got two charts: one is a bar graph with two groups,
and each bar has two colors (one for each of the groups) - 100% stacked
column. I have another graph which is a very simple line graph. Both graphs
have the same X axis (with 7 data points), but different Y axes. How do I
combine them into the same chart? I know how to make a secondary axis, and
the example in Excel (a "custom" chart) has a bar graph plus a line graph on
the secondary Y axis, but its bar graph is a simple bar graph, not the
stacked kind that I have, so it's not quite what I want. Can anyone help? I
can provide examples (PDF, but I know people don't like to download Usenet
messages with attachments...). Thanks in advance!

Mike

Does anyone know of a way to display bar graphs side-by-side using the same
"x" access?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks!

No luck finding an answer? You could always try Google.
