I am trying to formulate a formula that will calculate overtime hours worked.

Now standard hours are 17:30pm - 20:45pm. Anything outside these hours are overtime. If the start time is 18:00pm then the person is still paid from 17:30pm @ standard rate regardless.

Now I am trying to work out a formula that will cover hrs outside of the standard hrs AND hrs unworked but paid for.

Pls see attached! September tab {blue highlighted cells}

If anyone can advise I would be truly grateful, as I have spent hours trying to figure it out.

Kind Regards

automatically? I have it set up to calculate how many hours each person

worked subtracting out time for lunch. How do I get it to read that if the

hours in the regular hours column is over 8 a day, to put the difference in

the overtime field?

Thank you.

can calculate overtime hours. In california over 8 hrs in one day is

overtime. The 8 would be considered regular hours and anything over is OT.

I have two dates for check in and check out and I need to calculate length of stay.

The following example:

today() is 01/17/2011

VB:How to calculate the customer count today based on checked in and not checked out yet ( column B is empty)A B C check In check out length of stay 01/05/2011 01/10/2011 5 =If(ISBLANK(B2),SUM(TODAY()-A2),SUM(B2-A2)) 01/05/2011 12 01/05/2011 01/15/2011 10If you like these VB formatting tags please consider sponsoring the author in support of injured Royal Marines

Thanks in advance.

Say i worked 8.50 hours today, 9.00 next day, 8.75 the following day. I need a column to show regular hours and I need another column showing the overtime worked per day. I'd like to be able to enter in column (a) 8.50 hours and for column (b) to automatically subtract the .50 hrs worked that day. Does this make sense?

Please help! I know how to calculate overtime per weekly basis, but I need the per day basis as in Cal anything worked over 8.00 hours is considered overtime. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated! thank you so much in advance.

Could someone give me a hand with this theoretical question:

A man, when asked by his niece how old he was, replied, "My age is now four

times yours, but five years ago it was five times yours." How old was he?

28th of June, 27th of July, 29th of August, 28th of Sept...?

column to say pass one to say fail and calculate the percentage of each on a

monthly basis. I can enter the info but don't know how to calculate the

percentages

Example

01/10/1977 and 10/04/2002 . i want to know the formula for getting correct

years, months and days between above dates

I assume that you actually want to add the negative values and positive

values seperately. To compute the sum of negative values and positive

values, use the sumif funtion.

I also want to calculate what is the probability of happening U after 3 Us, for instance. What is the probability that 2, 3, 4 Overs or Unders happen in a row?

The data in the attached file is just small par of the data that i'll be analising .

I have tickets numbers in this format (111122 , 222333,..etc) , those Tickets numbers are not considered as numbers.

what i am able to do is to count those tickets monthly / quarterly which is OK..

but what i need is how to : calculate the average of the count Quarterly = count (month1)+count(month2) + count (month3) / 3 ..

Any help will be appreciated

thanks

I have cell D4 and E4 that show a start time and finish time of a shift (eg D4 is 21:30 and E4 is 23:59). I have figured out how to calculate how many hours it is, and how to round the figure to the next 1/2 hour:

=ROUND(SUM(E4-D4)*48,0)/48

The problem with this is that it shows the result as 2.30, which is obviously 2hrs and 30mins, but I need to show the result as 2.50 (2 1/2 hrs) because that cell will then be linked to an hourly rate of pay.

So, how can I change it so that the result shows as 2.5?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Glenn

Ok I may have some difficulty in expressing this one, please bare with me....

We have team leaders starting at specified times (8 hr shifts):

I want to calculate total staff coverage over the teamleader 8 hr shift.

there are ptime shifts of 6hrs and fultime staff 8hr shifts

The most simple example would be:

Team leader starts at 0700 and has

3 f/t staff starting at 0700 = 3

2 staff starting at 1300 = 4hrs (1300-1500 x 2 will cross team leaders 0700 - 1500 shift))

2 pt staff starting at 1100 = 8hrs (11-1500 x 2 will cross team leaders 0700 - 1500 shift)

so total for this day would be 4.5 staff crossing his shift. Attached is a sample of how i have set up the spread sheet minus the formulas...

If you have a remote idea of what i am trying to express please check out and edit the spreadsheet at will :-)

This question is more about how to calculate than anything I guess - thanks guys...

Can someone please advise how to calculate percentage using a aphabets?

What I mean is I want to know the percentage of the cell which says "completed" vs nothing in the cell.

I've attached the excel sheet.

Please advice.

I have some equation that gerenarted from the trendline in the chart (Power

equation). The other iteration want to use the formula directly from the

chart. Somehow I don't know how to do that since I can't find in the Help.

Name Credit Current

David 50 50

John -90 -90

John 40 -50

David 30 80

Tim 30 30

The problem is how to calculate the column "current", which is the sum of all the credits of that person at that time. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.

No luck finding an answer? You could always try Google.
