Remove page number "watermark" from background...

Re: I need to remove page number "watermark" from background...

Does anyone know how to do this? The page number is visible in big letters in the center of the sheet in sort of transparent grey. I don't want it there. Thanks!

I'm working on an existing worksheet and the page numbers show in the
background. I can't seem to find where the set up for that is coming from. I
want to remove them so the page numbers don't show in the background.

thank you.

I'm trying to figure out for my boss also I've done some search in this forum but no avail.

He want each page to have large faded page number in the background like 'Page 1', Page 2' etc(there's 12 pages in one sheet) for presentations but do not want the page numbers to appear in the printed copies. Is it possible?

I know about the watermark but he does'nt want page numbers in the prints

thanx

I have large page numbers across my excel worksheets and don't know how to
remove them.

Hi,

How are the page numbers that show in the worksheet background formatted?
Not in the header or footer, but they are seen when you view on your screen,
I sometines find them annoying and would like to delete.

Hello,

I received a spreadsheet used for printing out tables of data.

This spreadsheet contains two features which I would like to understand:

1) Each Excel range that is printed on a separate page contains a big page
number in the background of the speadsheet: "page1", "page2" etc. This page
number, however, is not printed. How is this achieved?

2) There is a gray are outside the actual data range - and I can't change
the formatting of that area. The spreadsheet is not protected.

Thank you

Michael

I have created a lookup table in excel. This appears as a form in page break
preview but the page number in the background is obscuring the relevant
information. How do I hide this default background.

How do I add a large page number to the background of a worksheet?

How do I remove the page numbering in the middle of pagebreak preview and
still remain under pagebreak preview mode.

I opened a spreadsheet that is display large grey page numbers in the middle
of each page of this spreadsheet. These do not print. How do I turn off this
display of page number?

Hi,

I would like to know how to display page numbers in the background of a worksheet so that I can view them on the screen but so that they DO NOT print out.

Thank you

Does anyone know how to get rid of the page numbers that appear when using page break preview mode. The page numbers appear in large grey font in the middle of each page and sometimes makes it difficult to read cells. Can I use this view with all the same functionality without that one feature?

Thanks!

Currently I have a workbook with 5 worksheets. If I print each worksheet
separately, there would be 12 pages in total. I want to have consecutive
page numbering on all the sheets so that the page numbering is from 1 to 12
instead of page 1 of 2, page 1 of 3, etc.

Is this possible with Excel?

Thanks
Julie

I have a document that needs to contain a section with page numbers starting from 1. The problem is that I want to display the page numbers within the section (i.e. starting at 1 to the number of pages in the section) and the page number within the whole document. I have seen this done in other documents but I can't seem to work out how to do it. If I am not explaining myself well enough here is what I am trying to do (footer contents in brackets):
First Page (Page 1)Second Page (Page 2)Third Page And Start Of New Section (SubPage 1, Page 3)Forth Page (SubPage 2, Page 4)Fifth Page And End Of Section (Page 5)
Thanks in advance.

How do I remove the page number from the "page break preview" and yet keep it
in the "page break preview" format? I just want to remove the watermark only.

I have a file that displays the text "Page 1" in the center of the worksheet.
I have not been able to find a way to stop the page number from displaying.
There is no header/footer, no "background", no other special items that I
could find that would force the display of this.
It does not appear during the printing so it's not a "watermark". It merely
displays in my view when I'm working in the worksheet.
