Making mutiple graphs the same size

We are trying to print four graphs that are identical in size and format on
one sheet. Is there an easy way to get them of equal size? Or how would you
go about doing this.

When copying a chart or graph, it doesn't keep the size of the original chart
or graph (length/height). How can I keep all of the charts-graphs the same
size when copying?

Hi,

Is there a fast way to make two charts the same size? Whenever I copy one it appears slightly larger than the original chart. I don't care if the solution is a macro or not, either way works for me.

Thanks.

Hello,

I would like to make all of my charts exactly the same size and aligned exactly the same way using VBA.

I have found the code to do this from Jon Peltier's site (thanks Jon) but my question is how do I figure out what the alignment and size of my current chart that I want to copy is??

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I 've created a table with multiple merges and titles and sub-titles. How
can I make some of the cells within the document the same size (for
consistency size)?

I've created a number of histograms in Excel 97 and want to paste them into a
Word 97 document.
I'd like all the histograms to be/appear the same size in the document ie
the histograms and boxes around them.
At the moment, I'm manually trying to do this by dragging on the sizing
handles for each histogram and then seeing if they look the same.
Is there a way to do this automatically?
Many thanks.

Hi,
I need help keeping my pictures locked in at the same size and position when I make copies in a workbook. My deal is that I have inspections forms that I need to make duplicate worksheets for each month of the year. Every time I make a copy into a new worksheet my pictures change position or size and position. Does anyone have a solution for this?

how can i sort the contents of my worksheet without making each cells of the same size?...because whenever i tried to sort them is displays a message that i need to make the cells of the same size....thanks!

I would like to place a picture in an excel sheet. I have a template and I
have several sheets. I want to place a picture in each sheet (a different
picture in each sheet) and when I insert the picture I want it to be the
same size each time. At present when I place a picture in a sheet I have to
resize it. Is there a way to accomplish this? I hope this makes sense.
TIA!

I am amking a report and I have several diagrams that I want to have the same
size (exact). However, I only manage to change the size of the diagram-"bok"
numerically. How can you fix the size of the actual diagram numerically (and
not by mouse)? Anyone? Please need answer fast!

Hi,

when I copy a chart and paste it as a picture in any photoprogram (Paint
Shop Pro or PhotoShop) I get a different size of the file if I use different
computers, screen sizes or photo programs.

I need to get the same size everytime, 640 pixels wide. Does anyone know how
to do it?
Im "willing" to use only one photo program if that solve the problem, but do
I have to use the same computer everytime with the same screen everytime?

In Paint shop Pro I can resize the picture and maintain the ratio, but it
still doesnt help me as the text in the chart gets desformed.

regards
Martin

Hi Guys
I get the error "data on the clipboard in not the same size and shape when I copy a formula for one cell to another on the same spreadsheet in the same workbook. This only happend in this particlular spreadsheet. Please help!!

Hi guys,

I get the following erro message "Data on the clipboard is not the same
size and shape as the selected area.." when copying and pasting one row
over an identical row. Both rows go from columns A to IV. Both should be
identical - Have merged cells and hidden columns in both.

the second part of the error message is "Do you want to paste
anyway...?" when I say yes it pastes BUT the headers that where
previously merged are now unmerged?

How can I fix....?

Thanks

I need an Exel macro to insert names for ranges, not always the same size.
They always start in Colunn A and end in Column U.

Hi Guys

I get the message "data on the clipboard in not the same size and shape" when I copy and paste in excel 2007. I am copying a formula from 1 cell to another of a group of cells.

The below macro works fine the first time (Then portion of the IF statement) but when it runs into a situation where Else needs to be used I get an error.
When I do the process manually I get "The information cannot be pasted because the Copy area and the paste area are not the same size and shape" error, how do I avoid this when I run the macro?

Dim range1 As Range
Dim range2 As Range

Set range2 = Sheets("A").Range("A1")
Set range1 = Sheets("B").Range("A1")

Sheets("A").Activate
range2.Select
Range(Selection, Selection.End(xlToRight)).Select
Range(Selection, Selection.End(xlDown)).Select
Selection.Copy

If IsEmpty(range1) Then
Cells.Select
range1.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlPasteValues
Else

range1.End(xlDown).Offset(2, 0).PasteSpecial Paste:=xlPasteValues
End If

Thanks a lot!

A couple of days ago, I started having trouble copying and pasting. The error message: data on clipboard is not the same size and shape as the selected area. Do you want to paste anyway? I have tried clearing the clipboard but it won't allow me to copy and paste formulas. It also appears to be clipped to Word. When I close Excel and reopen it the data is still on the clipboard. Any ideas?

Hello

i would like to have 2 or more charts created with the same axes X values
(date).

I create 3 differents charts with the same axes value:
My problem is
- the 2 created charts has'nt the same size,
- the distance between the 2 axis values isn't the same and
- the size of "inside chart" isn't the same for the 2 graphs

With this problem i can't look just the two charts in order to compare them
at the same date (X ) because a date X on one charts isn't just below (on a
vertical line) the same date X on the second chart but maybe more on right
side.

Can you help me please ?
thanks

Hello,

I have a requirement in which I need to plot the average and the Standard Deviation (Error bar) in the same graph. I am using Excel 2010.

I am making a line graph. I am able to plot average easily but with standard deviation, I am facing problems.

For every point on the line graph, I have different standard deviation and when I select "Custom" on the Standard Deviation Options and I specify the range of SD values for each point, I get the SD lines of the same size and they are so huge that it crosses the chart itself. I am sure I can't select "Fixed", "Percentage" as each of the SD value is different corresponding to each point (average value) on the line graph.

Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

EDIT: Sample File Attached - As you see in the chart, the line graph is plotted based on the "Average" values, I need to plot SD on those points as well.

If I have more than one Pie Chart (4 to be precise) on a worksheet, is there a way I can make these all a uniform size, as at the moment I am fiddling about with them and cant quite get them all to be exactly the same.

I’m trying to get several graphs (14) to have the same look. I want all to have the same colors, fonts, and footers and headers. Is there a way to change the default graph format, or copy the format of one graph to another?

Any help is appreciated.

We are trying to create a Church directory for the Church. We want each family to have there own page with a family picture on top then the info under that. I am trying to create a template to use and make things easier. I want the place where the picture is going to be the same size for all members. So if possible I would like a large cell where I can just insert a picture and maybe more the picture inside the cell to center it but they will all be the same size. Am i making any sence.

Thanks for any help

Hey, sorry to bother you for something that's probably obvious, but it's so obvious I can't seem to find the answer by searching...

I am trying to copy a range form one worksheet and paste it into another. Most of the time it works, but every once in a while I get a 1004 error saying that the areas are not the same size and shape so I can't paste.

I can't figure out why, since I am pasting the range to a only the top left cell, and I thought that was always ok. What's up?

Sheets("Phases").Range("B2").Select
Range(Selection, Selection.End(xlDown)).Select
Range(Selection, Selection.End(xlToRight)).Select
Selection.Copy Destination:=Sheets("summary").Range("A4")

And, yes I know there are too many selects in the above code, but I don't know how to fix it...

Thanks again for any suggestions! I'd understand if it never worked, but when it usually works, it doesn't make sense.

Thanks!

I am working on a project which will include many different pie charts. I am beginning with the same chart and changing the data. I want the pie size to be the same in each chart.

Each chart is showing a diffent amount of data. It seems the smaller the amount of data the larger the pie chart becomes. Is there a way to specify the pie stay the same size no matter how much data I want to plot?

Your help would be appreciated!
